Inmóvil presents a pretty intriguing premise. The concept of an entire generation opting to stand still really sets a unique tone, doesn't it? There's this underlying tension in how the family grapples with their son’s inaction. The pacing feels deliberate, almost languid, mirroring that sense of immobility. The performances are quite evocative; you can really feel the anxiety of the parents juxtaposed against their son's detachment. It’s got this surreal, almost absurdist humor that makes you chuckle while also contemplating deeper themes of apathy and social criticism. Not exactly standard fare, and definitely makes you think about the motivations behind such a drastic choice. I’d say it’s definitely a conversation starter in any collection.
