Inside (2018) is one of those films that pulls you into a suffocating atmosphere right from the start. The pacing is pretty relentless, building dread with minimal dialogue. You really feel the isolation of the main character, which is accentuated by the disturbing visuals that creep under your skin. The practical effects stand out; they don't shy away from visceral moments that linger in your mind. It’s all about that sense of entrapment and the psychological unraveling that ensues. There's an unsettling tone throughout that makes you question what's real and what's just in her head. It’s definitely not your typical horror flick, and I think that uniqueness is what gives it a certain edge. Not for everyone, but it has its own compelling atmosphere.
Dual themes of isolation and psychological horror.Notable use of practical effects over CGI.Challenging narrative that invites multiple interpretations.
