Interstate (2004) presents a haunting journey down a seemingly endless highway. It’s dark and atmospheric, the tension builds slowly as the protagonist receives increasingly sinister messages through the car radio. There’s a sense of isolation that really sets the mood, enhanced by practical effects that, while not flashy, feel grounded and effective. The pacing is deliberate, allowing the dread to seep in, leaving you on edge. The performances, though from lesser-known actors, carry an authenticity that draws you in. It's that feeling of being trapped in your own vehicle, with danger lurking just out of sight, that makes this film distinct. Definitely one of those films that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll.
