Intrusions is this lesser-known thriller that dives deep into the psyche of its protagonist, Pauline. The film's atmosphere is pretty tense, a nice mix of claustrophobia and domestic dread. You can really feel the weight of her predicament; she’s caught in a loveless marriage, manipulated by her father, and the tension just builds as her husband wants out. The pacing keeps you on edge, and the phone threats she leaves add a chilling layer to her character. The performances are solid, especially from the lead, who brings out Pauline’s desperation and anger really well. It’s not flashy, more grounded in its approach, making the slow burn of the story all the more impactful.
