Intrusive Thoughts is quite a dark little piece, really. It dives deep into the psyche of jealousy and paranoia, which gives it a heavy, oppressive atmosphere. The pacing is slow but intentional, building dread rather than relying on jump scares. Kenneth Miller brings a palpable tension to his role, while Kristen DeVore Rakes captures the fragility of her character with a haunting performance. The practical effects are understated but effective, enhancing the psychological horror without overshadowing the story. What sets this film apart is its focus on the inner turmoil of the protagonist, making the viewer question what's real and what's just in her head. It's not your run-of-the-mill horror flick, that’s for sure.
