So, 'Iru.' (Vol.11-15) Sōshūhen is this intriguing addition to the 'Kowasugiru Tōkō Eizō' series. It’s got that distinct low-budget horror vibe, really drawing you into its eerie atmosphere. The pacing... it’s almost maddening in a good way, keeping you on edge without overdoing the jump scares. There’s a heavy reliance on practical effects that feels refreshing amidst today’s CGI overload, lending a tangible sense of dread. Performances are raw, sometimes uneven, but they add to the unsettling nature of the film. It captures that feeling of dread and impending doom really well, which is what I think sets it apart from other entries in the series.
Part of the unique 'Iru.' film series.Features strong practical effects.Explores themes of dread and isolation.
