So, 'Ismael' is pretty intriguing, right? You’ve got this aging couple, which gives it a certain weight, and they’re following this young kid, Ismael Tchou. It’s a bit of a journey—literally and figuratively. The pacing felt deliberate, almost meditative at times, which allows you to really soak in the atmosphere. The theme of searching for connection, especially with estranged family, hits hard. I found the performances to be quite raw and genuine, which draws you in. It’s not flashy; you won't find a ton of practical effects here, but that’s part of its charm. The simplicity of the story contrasts with the complexity of emotions. Definitely a unique piece in the drama genre.
