J'ai perdu Albert is this quirky French comedy that plays with the idea of genius and mental connection in a very offbeat way. You’ve got Chloe, who’s navigating her life with the help of Albert Einstein’s intellect, which is quite the interesting premise. The tonal shifts can be a bit jarring but they contribute to a unique atmosphere, bouncing between light-hearted comedy and deeper musings on identity and purpose. When Albert makes a switch to Zac, a rather melancholic beekeeper, it adds an unexpected layer of emotional depth. The performances are charming—especially the contrast between Chloe's vibrancy and Zac's gloom. The practical effects are minimal but effective, keeping the focus on the characters and their unusual relationship. It’s one of those films that makes you think while still managing some laughs.
