So, Joji is this intriguing blend of crime and drama that really nails the tension in its atmosphere. Directed by Dileesh Pothan, the film dives into the psyche of Joji, this engineering dropout from a wealthy family, who’s just consumed by greed and ambition. The slow burn pacing works well here, building up to this intense family drama after a shocking event shakes things up. The performances, especially from Fahadh Faasil, are really something. He captures Joji's descent into moral ambiguity beautifully. What's distinct about it is how it draws inspiration from Macbeth, but here, it feels very rooted in its own cultural context. It's a nice watch if you appreciate that blend of classic and contemporary.
