So, 'Judas' Gospel' by Giulio Base presents this really reflective take on Judas Iscariot. The pacing is more contemplative than action-driven, which I find interesting. It dives deep into Judas' psyche as he nears the end, really focusing on his memories and feelings towards Jesus and the other disciples. It’s definitely got a somber tone, but there are moments where the practical effects used to depict some of the flashbacks really enhance the storytelling. The performances are solid, especially the actor portraying Judas—there's this rawness to his regret that lingers. It's distinct in how it humanizes Judas, rather than simply painting him as the villain. A unique spin, for sure.
Contemplative tone throughout the film.Strong emphasis on character introspection.Practical effects enhance the narrative depth.
