So, 'Judgement' from 2018 has this creeping sense of dread that really gets under your skin. It starts off all casual with Tom taking his date home, but the atmosphere shifts quickly. You can feel the tension building as the night unravels. The pacing is interesting, not too rushed, allowing you to soak in the tension and dread. It plays with themes of expectation versus reality, which I find intriguing. The practical effects, while not overdone, deliver some solid scares that feel earned rather than cheap. The performances are raw and real; you really get a sense of their desperation and fear. It's definitely a unique watch in the indie horror scene.
