So, 'Jungle Beat: The Movie' is an interesting blend of animation and comedy, aimed at families but not without its quirks. The jungle animals, who are usually about simple adventures, get thrown into chaos when an alien lands in their midst. The whole speech thing adds a nice twist, but it’s a bit of a double-edged sword. The humor is light and silly, fitting for kids, but there’s this underlying theme about friendship and acceptance that kind of sneaks in there. Animation style feels a touch simplistic but has charm, and the pacing rolls along nicely. Plus, the voice performances bring a lot of character to the animals. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s got a certain appeal, especially for the younger crowd.
Released on Netflix and DVD in 2020.Directed by Brent Dawes, known for children's animation.Features a mix of CGI and 2D animation styles.Runtime is approximately 85 minutes.
