Junun alfirakh is quite a curious piece from 1998, really. The film takes a look at this odd disease hitting a village, rendering the men impotent, and it sets up a rather tense atmosphere. The doctor character is intriguing, navigating the bureaucracy of health authorities while dealing with villagers' despair.
