KillerKiller is one of those films that leaves you with a weird sense of unease. Directed by Pat Higgins, it’s set in this creepy facility where the worst of the worst are kept. The atmosphere is thick with tension, especially when the guards mysteriously vanish and a chilling mist envelops the building. The pacing is pretty good; it keeps you on edge as the inmates start turning on each other in the face of an unseen killer. The practical effects are decent for a low-budget flick, adding a gritty realism to the gruesome scenes. The performances, while not always stellar, bring a certain charm that captures the desperation and paranoia of the characters trapped in this hellish scenario. It’s not your run-of-the-mill horror, that’s for sure.
Atmospheric tension builds throughout the film.Interesting blend of character dynamics and horror elements.Practical effects provide a raw edge to the killings.
