Kiss Me Goodbye is an interesting blend of comedy, fantasy, and romance from the early '80s that you don’t see every day. The film has this light, almost whimsical tone while dealing with rather heavy themes like love, loss, and moving on. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, which can make it feel like it wanders, but that kind of fits with the whole ghostly vibe. The practical effects aren’t groundbreaking, but they serve their purpose well enough to create some memorable moments. Sally Field's portrayal of Kay is quite engaging, and her interactions with Jolly's ghost, played by a charmingly mischievous character, bring a unique dynamic that makes this film stand out in the genre.
