So, KochiKame: The Movie takes our familiar Officer Ryotsu and throws him into a pretty wild plot involving FBI agent Lisa Hoshino. The animation is striking, with that classic late '90s style that you just don't see much anymore. They really lean into the crime aspect, which makes for some tense moments as they chase this elusive terrorist, Benten. Whatâs interesting is the targeted attacks on Shinatora corporation buildings, adding a layer of corporate intrigue to the mix. The pacing keeps you engaged, though at times, it feels like they couldâve explored the characters a bit more, especially Ryotsu's dynamic with Lisa. Still, itâs a distinctive blend of humor and action that captures the essence of the original manga and anime.
