So, Kuripuri・Kuripura is an interesting short from 2008 by Taku Furukawa. The animation style is quite unique, blending simple character designs with a vivid color palette that draws you in. It’s got this dreamy, almost surreal atmosphere that feels like a visual poem. The pacing is deliberately slow, allowing you to really soak in the visuals and the subtle storytelling. There’s a playful yet melancholic tone throughout, which is pretty intriguing. And while we don’t have a high-profile director attached, the creative choices here speak volumes. There’s a kind of charm to its understated approach, which sets it apart from more mainstream animated shorts. Definitely a conversation starter in any collection, for sure.
