The practical effects are surprisingly well done, especially for an animated feature, giving it a unique feel. There’s a certain charm in seeing these aging warriors, all dealing with their own physical ailments, band together, which adds a layer of humor and heart. Definitely not your typical hero's journey, it’s got an interesting emotional undercurrent that makes it stand out.
