Last Train is a curious little horror flick that really plays with the tension of the unknown. Set almost entirely on a dimly lit platform, the atmosphere is thick with dread. You can almost feel the chill of the night air as the commuter waits, and when things start to go sideways, you realize how effective it is in building suspense. The practical effects used for the unsettling encounters are surprisingly well done, adding a rawness that CGI just can't replicate. Performances are decent; the lead carries the weight of the escalating terror well, though it’s not without its pacing issues. There’s a distinct lack of backstory, which gives it a dream-like quality, almost like a nightmare you can’t shake off. Not your typical horror fare but certainly has its own vibe.
Great for fans of minimalistic horror.Strong atmosphere despite its limited setting.Interesting use of practical effects.
