Le Lac is an intriguing piece, really. Boris Labbé takes this scenographic work and twists it into something fresh, you know? The animation feels so layered, with this constant push and pull between the natural and man-made. The dark landscapes are striking, almost haunting at times, but they also manage to have this hyper-real quality that draws you in. The pacing is a bit meditative, allowing you to linger on these beautiful yet unsettling visuals. You can feel the tension in the air as the scenes unfold. It's distinct in how it breathes new life into the classic themes of Swan Lake, yet makes you look at it through a different lens. Quite the atmospheric experience, really.
Animation style is unique and immersive.Explores themes of nature vs. architecture.Pacing allows for reflection and depth.
