Lee Rock is one of those gritty Hong Kong films that really captures the essence of a cop's descent into moral ambiguity. The lead performance is pretty compelling, you can see the internal struggle as he starts from this principled officer to a man caught up in the very corruption he once fought against. The pacing is deliberate, allowing the tension to build as he grapples with his choices. There's a rawness to the practical effects, which adds to the film's realistic vibe; it feels unpolished but in a good way, you know? The atmosphere is thick with desperation, and it really gives you a taste of the darker side of law enforcement in Hong Kong. Definitely not your typical cop drama.
