Lilim is quite an unsettling horror experience. The atmosphere feels dense, almost suffocating, as Issa and Tomas find themselves in this orphanage that isn’t what it seems. The pacing has this slow burn that builds dread effectively, forcing you to sit with the tension. The set design is pretty remarkable, I mean, there’s a palpable sense of decay and dread in every corner. The cult elements bring a disturbing layer to the film, making it more than just a simple chase. Practical effects are used thoughtfully, adding to the visceral feel of the horror—nothing beats a good old-fashioned scare without too much CGI. The performances are raw, especially the leads, who carry the emotional weight of the story. It’s dark, atmospheric, and has a unique touch that sticks with you.
