So, 'Line Dance' caught me off guard, in a good way. It’s this animated piece that plays with color and form like a visual symphony, really. The director, David Ehrlich, crafts a sort of meditative atmosphere through these overlapping waves of color. You can kind of lose yourself in it. The pacing feels almost hypnotic, as it ebbs and flows, inviting you to just breathe and be. There’s no dialogue to pull you out, just this rhythmic dance of visuals that feels alive. It’s distinct in its simplicity, yet there’s a complexity beneath the surface that makes you think about the interconnectedness of life. Not your typical animation, for sure, but worth exploring for its unique approach.
