So, Link... it's an odd one, isn’t it? The atmosphere is thick with tension from the get-go, right? Jane, played by a young actress, is thrust into this bizarre world inhabited by this creepy professor and his primate companions. The pacing takes its time to build up, which gives it a slow-burn quality, but once it ramps up, you're really on edge. Link, the orangutan butler, is both unsettling and oddly charming, which is a tricky balancing act. The practical effects, especially around the chimps, really stand out for the era. Plus, there's this underlying theme about isolation and the darker side of human-animal relationships that lingers long after the credits roll. A curious watch for sure, not your typical horror-thriller.
