Lithic Choreographies is quite a fascinating piece. Shot on Gotland, this experimental doco really digs into the layers of history and geology there. It’s not just about the visuals, which are strikingly raw, blending those earthy textures with speculative narratives. The pacing, well, it feels almost meditative at times, allowing the viewer to sit in the weight of each story. The locals' contributions give it an organic feel, grounding the more abstract notions. You get this sense of time being fluid, as if the island itself is a character. There’s a certain charm in its imperfection, I think. It’s definitely one of those films that lingers in the back of your mind long after the credits roll.
