Livandro is an oddball blend of comedy and crime that finds its rhythm in the absurdity of old age and desperation. The setting, a crumbling bowling alley, really gives off this gritty yet humorous vibe, you know? Watching the old men, Livandro and Morando, bound and bantering is surprisingly engaging. Giancane, the Pigs' boss, plays his part with an unsettling charm, pushing the narrative into darker territories while still letting some humor shine through. The practical effects aren't overdone, which lends a certain authenticity to their predicament. The pacing feels a bit off-kilter at times, almost intentionally so, enhancing that sense of unease.
