Los Chidos is an interesting blend of comedy and romance, with a satirical edge that really gets under the skin of certain Latino traditions. The pacing can be a bit uneven, especially in the middle, but it gives you time to breathe and appreciate the absurd situations the Gonzales family finds themselves in. The performances are quite lively, especially the way the family interacts with the imposing white industrialist, which brings a unique dynamic. It plays with themes of cultural identity, privilege, and the often unspoken misogyny and homophobia that can exist in tight-knit communities. The humor is sharp, though sometimes crass, and it really doesn’t shy away from tackling uncomfortable truths while still managing to be entertaining.
Interesting take on cultural traditions.Sharp humor with a satirical edge.Uneven pacing but engaging performances.
