Lost Highway is classic Lynch – a haunting dive into the psyche. The way he layers sound and visuals creates this heavy mood, almost suffocating at times. Bill Pullman and Patricia Arquette give performances that really feel like they’re spiraling into something darker, and the use of practical effects is just wild. That scene in the prison cell? tense. The pacing is deliberately slow, which might turn some away, but it builds this tension that’s almost unbearable. The themes of identity and transformation are central, and Lynch navigates them in such a twisted way. It’s definitely not for everyone, but for those who appreciate the weird and unsettling, it’s a gem.
