So, 'Love Belongs to Everyone' is quite an interesting piece. It's a drama that dives deep into the life of Dennis, a shy guy with a thing for trains, who's just been let out of prison a bit too early. The pacing is definitely slow but intentional, really letting you feel Dennis’s awkwardness and isolation as he navigates life post-incarceration. His parents, André and Rita, are pretty typical barbershop folks, trying to keep him on the straight and narrow, but it’s Barbara, the sister of his victim, who complicates things. There’s a rawness to the performances, especially in how Dennis interacts with the world. The film doesn’t shy away from uncomfortable themes, and that might be its most striking quality. It leaves a lingering tension that’s hard to shake off, you know?
Focus on character-driven storytelling.Raw performances; Dennis's portrayal feels genuine.Themes of redemption and societal judgment are prominent.
