So, 'Love Street' from 2002 is this intriguing little gem set in post-war Paris, you know? The film has a warm, yet haunting atmosphere, really drawing you into the brothel's world. The pacing is deliberate, allowing you to soak in the emotional turmoil of the characters. What I find fascinating is the way the handyman—who's essentially a blue-collar guy—interacts with the world of the brothel, trying to support the woman he loves. There's this rawness to the performances that feels very genuine, especially with the singing bits that give it a nice flair, even if they’re not super polished. It’s a unique take on love and ambition, wrapped up in a visually rich 1940s Parisian setting.
