Ludlow is an interesting dive into the darker sides of humanity, set in this dilapidated motel that almost feels like a character itself. Krista, played by Shannon Lark, grapples with her demons while waiting for her sister, and the whole thing just drips with a sense of despair and isolation. The pacing is deliberately slow, which really amplifies the tension and makes you feel the weight of Krista's past. There's not a whole lot of flashy effects, but the practical ones they do use have a rawness that fits the film's vibe. Elissa Dowling as Maddy adds another layer, introducing a sense of dread as you wonder what will unfold. It's not a straightforward horror, more of a creeping unease that gets under your skin.
Deliberate pacing enhances the tension.Strong atmosphere of isolation and despair.Practical effects contribute to the film's raw feel.
