So, have you seen the 2018 adaptation of Macbeth? It's an interesting take, to say the least. Entirely shot on green screen, it really gives a modern twist to Shakespeare, doesn't it? Kit Monkman, who also did The Knife That Killed Me, goes for a theatrical vibe that feels fresh but also a bit jarring at times. Mark Rowley delivers a solid performance, capturing Macbeth’s descent into madness well. The pacing sometimes drags, but the atmosphere is thick with tension and intrigue, especially with the visuals. It’s definitely a blend of film and theater, which might not sit well with everyone, but there's something worth dissecting here. Definitely distinct in its approach.
