Magralen, directed by an unknown hand, dives into the life of a family in Tehran's suburbs, living in a wrecking yard. You really get a sense of their daily grind—dismantling cars, surrounded by metal and memories. The kids, Nima and Tara, have this infectious energy as they play at being race car drivers, creating worlds out of scrap heaps. It’s kind of bittersweet, right? The juxtaposition of their innocent dreams against the backdrop of such a harsh existence. The pacing is contemplative and allows you to linger on moments that feel intimate and real. The performances, especially from the kids, have this rawness that really pulls you in. It’s a unique blend of harsh reality and childlike hope. Definitely something that sticks with you.
