Maharathi dives deep into the murky waters of greed and betrayal. The pacing can be a bit uneven at times, but it builds tension that keeps you guessing. Subhash, played with an intriguing mixture of desperation and cunning, teams up with Mallika to stage a suicide as a murder. The atmosphere is thick with a sense of impending doom, and there’s a distinct use of practical effects that heightens the tension in pivotal scenes. Shivam Nair’s direction gives it a gritty feel that feels authentic, even if it doesn’t always hit the mark. The performances, particularly from the leads, bring a certain edge to the film that's worth noting. It’s a film that lingers, making you think about the lengths people go for money.
