Maremoto is intriguing, to say the least. Even though the director's name isn't out there yet, the film dives deep into the human experience amid chaos. The pacing is deliberate, allowing each emotional beat to resonate, almost like the waves it metaphorically presents. The atmosphere feels heavy, like the air before a storm, filled with tension and anticipation. I found the performances to be raw and sincere, really grounding the film in a way that makes you reflect on loss and resilience. It's got some interesting practical effects, too, particularly during the climax that gives a tangible sense of the tumultuous events unfolding. Definitely a piece that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll.
