Marrakech Express is really something. Directed by Gabriele Salvatores, it captures this laid-back yet adventurous vibe that’s hard to shake off. The film follows four college buddies who head to Morocco after one of their own gets into legal trouble. It kind of unfolds like a road trip, you know? The pacing has this easy rhythm, allowing the characters—each with their quirks—to breathe. The atmosphere is rich, with gorgeous shots of Marrakech that feel almost tactile. You can almost smell the spices through the screen. The performances are natural, adding to that sense of camaraderie. It deals with friendship and life choices, wrapped in a light comedic package. Not your typical adventure flick, but definitely a unique watch.
