Maze Runner: The Death Cure wraps up the trilogy with a sense of urgency and stakes that feel real. The atmosphere is thick with tension as Thomas and his crew dive into the Last City, a WCKD stronghold, filled with traps and threats. The pacing keeps you on edge, moving rapidly but not sacrificing character moments, which is nice. There’s an interesting exploration of loyalty and sacrifice, all while juggling the lingering questions from the previous films. The practical effects shine, especially in action sequences that feel visceral rather than overly CGI'd. Performances are solid, with Dylan O'Brien carrying a lot of weight, showing both determination and vulnerability. It’s a fitting end to the chaotic journey these characters have been on.
