So, Meerk from 2006 is an interesting piece. It's a blend of comedy and drama, which gives it this really unique tonal shift throughout. You start with this gullible guy, and you can't help but feel for him. The pacing is a bit uneven, but it works as he starts to gather himself and plot his revenge against the people who pulled the wool over his eyes. The performances are quite varied—some hit the mark while others... not so much. Still, there's something raw about it, especially with how it tackles themes of manipulation and personal growth. The practical effects are minimal, but they serve the story without overshadowing the narrative. Not your typical fare, for sure.
