So, 'Meet the Fockers' is kind of a mixed bag. You get that Jay Roach style, which leans heavily into awkward comedy. The dynamic between Jack Byrnes, played by Robert De Niro, and Greg Focker, Ben Stiller, is just cringy enough to keep you engaged. They really amp up the family tension and misunderstandings here, which feels like a natural extension from the first film. Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand as Greg's parents add a different flavor, almost like a second act. The pacing has this rhythm of escalating chaos that makes it a bit relentless but enjoyable. The practical effects and physical comedy are solid, giving it that old-school feel amidst the modern setting.
