The pacing feels deliberate, almost claustrophobic, which really amplifies the tension between them. They’re there to fill out paperwork for this experimental drug that promises to erase grief. The humor is dark but it hits that sweet spot; it’s both funny and painfully real. The performances are raw, you can see the struggle in their eyes. Practical effects are minimal, focusing more on dialogue and the characters’ emotional states, which I think works well here. It’s distinctive in its approach to grief, making you chuckle while also making you think. A real character piece.
