So, 'Men with Brooms' is this quirky little film that mixes comedy with a splash of romance, set against the backdrop of the curling world. You've got Chris Cutter, a guy who ghosted everyone, including his fiancé, and now he’s back to put a few things to rest, including a long-lost dream. The tone is light but there's this undercurrent of nostalgia and missed opportunities. The pacing feels a bit relaxed, maybe reflective, as it meanders through small-town life and old rivalries. Performances are solid, with a nice chemistry between Cutter and Julie. The curling scenes are surprisingly engaging; they don’t shy away from the sport’s intricacies. It’s not your typical sports comedy, that’s for sure.
