Miss Annity is a rather intriguing horror flick from Landon Stahmer in 2019. The atmosphere feels thick with tension and dread, thanks in part to some solid practical effects that really enhance the creepiness. The pacing's a bit uneven at times, but it adds to the unsettling vibe as you dive deeper into the story. Themes of isolation and the lengths people go to fit in are explored in a way that's both relatable and eerie. The performances are decent and help ground the more bizarre elements. What stands out is how it manages to keep you guessing while maintaining a consistency in its dark tone. Definitely not a run-of-the-mill horror offering.
