So, "Mistaken" is a really interesting character study set against the backdrop of post-9/11 America. It has this heavy, almost oppressive atmosphere, which makes sense given the subject matter. The pacing is deliberate, allowing you to really sit with the tension of the protagonist's situation. You’ve got this Moroccan woman caught in a web of mistaken identity, and while the director remains unknown, the performances—particularly hers—are quite gripping. It’s not flashy, more of a raw, intimate look at fear and prejudice in a time of crisis. The film dives into themes of identity, belonging, and the absurdity of circumstances beyond one’s control, making it both poignant and unsettling. Definitely has a distinct indie vibe.
