Monster X is kind of a wild ride. It takes a classic setup—friends trapped in a theater—and throws in a mix of horror staples like vampires, zombies, and werewolves. The atmosphere is thick with tension, and the pacing keeps you on your toes. What stands out are the practical effects; they give a gritty feel that CGI just can't capture. The performances are solid too, especially the chemistry between the leads. You can tell they really lean into the absurdity of their situation while still managing to keep it creepy. There's a bit of a retro vibe to the whole thing, which might resonate with fans of 80s horror flicks. Not perfect, but certainly unique.
