Mord im Spiel is this intriguing piece from 1985 that blends crime with a rather dark atmosphere. It has a gritty feel, characteristic of many films from that era. You can really sense the tension building as the plot unfolds, and the pacing keeps you engaged throughout. The way it tackles themes of deception and moral ambiguity is pretty interesting, though I wish the characters had been fleshed out a bit more. The practical effects, while not groundbreaking, add a certain rawness that complements the overall tone. And the performances, especially from the lead, have this unpolished charm that feels very much of its time. Definitely a film that has its own unique vibe, even if it's not for everyone.
