So, 'Mother and Son' from '97, it's this quiet little drama. You’ve got this man, just him and his ailing mother, taking a stroll through the countryside. The pacing is slow, but it really works for the themes of loss and connection. It’s less about dialogue and more about those lingering moments between them. The landscape feels almost like another character—very evocative. You can tell there’s a lot of care in the way it's shot; it’s all very intimate, really draws you into their world. The performances are raw and genuine, which I think adds to the whole atmosphere. It’s distinctive in its simplicity; not much happens, but everything feels heavy with meaning.
