Moving Temple Ghost is this gritty horror flick that really dives into the dark side of desperation and revenge. It starts off with a gambling loss that spirals into chaos, a fight, and the whole kidnapping setup by a bunch of bikers. The atmosphere is thick, almost claustrophobic, as you feel the tension building. The pacing can be a bit uneven, but it adds to the unsettling vibe. The ghostly revenge angle has some pretty decent practical effects, which were a staple of the era. Performances are raw, fitting the whole rough-and-tumble aesthetic. There's a real sense of dread that lingers, making it distinctive, especially for a low-budget film from the early '90s. And yes, the sequel exists, but this one stands out on its own.
