This film is quite a fascinating dive into Mozart's life through the lens of his music. Ton Koopman, with the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, really brings out the nuances in Mozart's compositions, from the youthful exuberance of ‘Exsultate jubilate’ to the more mature, complex layers found in ‘The Magic Flute’. The pacing feels deliberate, allowing the audience to soak in the rich textures of each piece. And Julia Lezhneva's vocal performance? It’s quite striking, full of emotion. The whole atmosphere is one of reverence and exploration, giving you a sense of both the genius of Mozart and the historical context of his work. A nice blend of biography and concert film, really.
