Murder in Mind is a pretty intriguing thriller. The premise has that classic mix of psychological tension and crime drama, with this chilling atmosphere. I mean, you’ve got a hypnotherapist delving into repressed memories, which adds a layer of depth. The pacing is somewhat uneven, but it builds a sense of dread that I found compelling. The performances, particularly from the lead, bring a certain vulnerability that’s striking against the backdrop of spousal abuse. There’s a nice blend of practical effects that create an eerie ambiance during the hypnosis sessions. The film plays with the fragility of memory in a way that feels both unsettling and thought-provoking, making it distinctive in the sea of 90s thrillers.
