So, 'My Honor Was Loyalty' is quite a mixed bag. It follows Captain Ludwig Herckel, a soldier in the SS Leibstandarte, who's caught up in the chaos of WWII – from the Eastern front to the Battle of the Bulge. The film has this raw, gritty atmosphere, reflecting the intense conflicts and moral dilemmas faced by soldiers. I found the pacing a bit uneven at times, but it’s that struggle between loyalty to country and personal ethics that keeps things intriguing. The performances, especially the lead, really pull you into Herckel's world. There's a rough authenticity in the practical effects too, giving it a grounded feel amidst the chaos of war. It’s definitely not your typical war film narrative, that's for sure.
Set in various historic battles during WWII.Explores themes of loyalty and moral ambiguity.Features practical effects that enhance realism.
